Nature meets Design at Tadoba Jungle Camp
Rooted in the heart of Tadoba’s wilderness, Tadoba Jungle Resort lets nature shape every aspect of its design and experience.
Nestled on the banks of the Irai River in Tadoba National Park, this 12-room property offers a front-row seat to breathtaking sunsets and the vibrant wilderness. Surrounded by dense forest on three sides and a serene lake on the fourth, the design tells a story deeply connected to the wildlife of the region.
With custom accents like couch covers and bedside lights, each room honors one of the six wild species that may be found in Tadoba. These minimal, modern accents connect guests to the surrounding wildlife in subtle and artful ways. The elevated steel-and-drywall cottages embrace the terrain, integrating built-in furniture and playful elements like alternating tread stairs. Bare metal beams, softened with wooden planks arranged to evoke grasslands and tree forms, bring a touch of nature indoors.
For a project of this nature, our belief was to keep sustainability at the core of the project. Repurposed wood sourced from a Nagpur scrapyard forms flooring, wall cladding, and artisanal accents like lamps and murals. Even dry wood twigs from the site have been reimagined as door handles and twig art, outlining animals on double-height walls.
Designing spaces within natural settings becomes essential, often shaping the core of an ecological vision. Our intent was to craft an authentic, immersive jungle experience—one that invites guests to connect with the natural world.
